MOKU

MOKU is a Ukulele

Literally translating to tiny is a small guitar in Hawaiian.

This is my ukulele, I got it as soon as I moved to Chennai, I’ve been wondering for a while on what to call her, I finally may have an answer, I shall call her Moku. Moku in Hawaiian means Tiny, which just makes great sense to me.  Moku also likes walls, its strong it stands up-to them (or against them).

I’d love to sit and tell you more about her but I’m afraid I’d need more time. Time is more or less a commodity these days and it’s very valuable. So I’ll leave you with this photograph of Moku and Moku’s friends. Surprisingly, the word small is Uuku, guess that's where it gets its name from.
